Because at some point, winning is good but having fun is better. This tier list ranks champions based on pure gameplay enjoyment, not based on their strength in the meta. Jinx in S-tier because rocket ramps on a group comp is a spiritual experience. Shaco in S-tier because terrorizing your opponents with clones and loot boxes is a lifestyle. Fizz in S-tier because dodging everything with E and watching people rage in chat is so much fun. At the bottom of the ranking are the champions whose kit does not exactly provoke the expected euphoria.
S-Tier: the picks that hurt
Jinx, Shaco, Fizz, Yasuo, Zed, Ekko, Kai'Sa, Jhin are clearly above the rest at the moment. If you want to win games without too much hassle, start there.
D-Tier: to avoid in ranked
Nasus, Teemo, Garen, Rammus, Malphite, Annie, Ashe. Not necessarily bad in themselves, just not adapted to the current meta. For normal games, no problem.
