Which ADC to play in ranked this season? That's the question everyone asks after a while, especially when the meta changes as quickly as a Riot patch. We compiled game data, winrates and especially field feedback from hundreds of games to produce this ranking.
Jinx is clearly the ADC to play if you want to hyperscale. She's useless for 15 minutes, then she becomes a permanent threat as soon as she has Kraken Slayer and Runaan's Hurricane. Its reset passive on kills transforms each dragon or baron into carnage. The problem is that she has zero mobility — you have to play with the knowledge that if you get submerged, you're dead. Caitlyn is the opposite: she wins the lane, she pokes through minions with her trap-enhanced Q, and she maintains a steady lead throughout the game. It is less explosive late but much safer. Jhin relies entirely on his accuracy and team composition — if you have setup, he's terrifying. If you play solo tail without communication, it's much more complicated.
Smolder is a revelation of this season. It takes time to charge your stacks (225 minimum to unlock your full kit), but once started it is almost impossible to stop. His E which bounces on enemies affected by his W is one of the most underrated mechanics in the game. Zeri remains in the S-tier for players who master micro-dashes and kiting in close combat.
In A-tier, Miss Fortune remains the queen of teamfights provided your team has CC — her ultimate Rain of Bullets can decide an entire game in 3 seconds. Aphelios is technically the best ADC in the game but requires in-depth mastery of his 5 weapons. Kai'Sa is always solid in dive composition thanks to his ult which allows him to get in the back after an allied engagement.
What you should really avoid in ranked if you are not a Challenger: Vayne is trapped in the C-tier not because she is bad but because her learning curve is brutal and a Vayne who dies twice at the start of the game will never return to the game. Heimerdinger in bot lane remains a meme, not a serious pick in normal ranked.
S-Tier: the picks that hurt
Jinx, Caitlyn, Jhin, Smolder, Zeri are clearly above the rest at the moment. If you want to win games without too much hassle, start there.
D-Tier: to avoid in ranked
Quinn, Urgot, Séraphine, Heimerdinger. Not necessarily bad in themselves, just not adapted to the current meta. For normal games, no problem.
